SLIPPEN – DANi iVORY

Hailing from the black and golden city of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (Yes, she is a die hard Steeler’s fan), DANi grew up in a music-clad household, listening to the vibratos of Maria Callas while she was still in her mother’s womb and mesmerized by the classical piano stylings of Vladmir Horowitz and Arthur Rubinstein as a toddler. Hard-work, versatility, discipline, and the courage to follow dreams were all important themes in the household, so it wasn’t a surprise when DANi decided to ditch her MCAT, exchanging a career in the medical field for that of a musician. Though a bit abrupt, was it really that much of a surprise?

The years of 2010 and 2011 found DANi as keyboardist and backing vocalist for Cee Lo Green in his all-girl backing band, Scarlet Fever – what was only supposed to be a short promotional tour turned into over a year’s worth of concerts and expeditions. DANi has appeared on The Tonight Show with David Letterman, Saturday Night Live, The Today Show and Jimmy Kimmel, to name a few. But it didn’t stop there…Following Cee Lo, DANi landed a gig as keyboardist and background vocalist for Imagine Dragons and subsequently Beyonce’ in the Super Bowl XLVII halftime show. DANi has gone on to successfully complete five legs of the Mrs. Carter World Tour in 2013 spanning 24 countries. It’s now time for Dani step out on her own…

Broken Records is proud to present a talent that cannot be denied and her debut release SLIPPEN. Slippen is a song written by DANi with a dynamic vocal performance highlighting a well known story to all of us. It features remixes from French Remixer Didier Vanelli, the dynamic duo of Sinclair & Chatters and newcomer Zak Zuul.
