Moving Cities is the pseudonym of the Spanish DJ/Composer/Producer Jose Rodriguez. Jose’s interest in dance music began in the early 90′s at the age of 14 when he started mixing records.

In 1998 Madrid was calling this young protégé’ and within months he secured his first major residency at the club “Long Play”, (which is located next to Javi Perro). He developed an acute sense of reading the crowd and breaking new music to an eager audience! By 2000 he was headlining the club Coppelia and after a year of sharing the stage with international artists he moved over to the incomparable Suite Cafe Club, performing alongside the great Alfonso Ares.

After years of playing other people’s music his path led him to learn to produce his own he discovered that making songs was his future. When his music education was complete, he created Moving Cities as his musical vision. He began to tour in such places as Barcelona, Bilbao and La Coruña. In July of 2009 he released the Moving Cities debut E.P. “Latin Lover” on Lust recordings. In 2012, he released his first LP “House Box”.

On DROP 2 DROP, Moving Cities delivers some soul-stirring grooves and melodies that are sure to ignite Radio, Mix Shows and Dance-floors all over the world!

The first three compilations received tremendous accolades, success and support. We at Broken Records thank you and hope you support this fourth installment as well. The tracks featured range from Electro and Tech-House, to Progressive House and Minimal, and most feature Jesse Saunders’ Spacial Mixes.

Featured on the fourth installment is 2Drunk2Funk vs. Red Rhythm (UK) with their track THAT’S IT, THAT’S NICE. It’s the 1st single release from the compilation and is already taking the dance community by storm. It’s reminiscent of the vibe of Right Said Fred. Next up is the current single WELCOME 2 LAS VEGAS from newcomer Jon Pantofel (USA), who takes you on a Sin City Electro House ride that you will never get off of! MickSir hails from Down Under (Australia) and contributes DEMONDIE, a Progressive, technological track with grit. Next we dive into the Minimal Sounds of Flo D (Germany) who graces us with SCHISS LA WENG, a grinding journey of amazing, techy, percussive sounds. Gom’z & Astor Van Reeg (Venezuela/Colombia) round out the first half with BACK To BACK, a techy, hypnotizing adventure into Electronica.

The BELLS of TUSCANY ring in the second half of the compilation and are courtesy of Kris Randval (Estonia). It’s a driving, Minimal-Tech track that will have booties shakin’ all over the world! In the Spotlight is The Renegade of Amstrad (UK), with his lively, uplifting track entitled CANTINA. It packs an almighty punch and will have “hands in the air” on the dance floor. It features an incredible stereo spectrum enhanced by Jesse Saunders’ Spacial Mastering. Also spotlighted is the driving track GUCHA from Rosske (Serbia), which highlights Trumpets to produce a sound scape unparalleled. Next up Superior Copy (Serbia) gives us BREAK YOUR LEG! WARNING: When you listen to this song, turn YOUR SPEAKERS up LOUD…But WATCH OUT, while you dance…You might break your leg! Van der Meijde (Holland) is a producer with an incredible imagination. His track CLEAR YOUR MIND is mind-blowing! And last, but certainly not least, comes Vidda, with his hard-hitting DUTCH ME SO HARD, an Electro House vibe with edgy sounds and an epic build up.

Loopsy Dazy is a collective of musicians led by U.S. born, Japan raised multi-instrumentalist and producer Mikey Dorje who now lives in Canada. The bands debut release was two official remixes of the BT track The Ghost In You from his Grammy nominated album These Hopeful Machines (Nettwerk / Black Hole Records).

Loopsy Dazy was launched in late September 2010 to fantastic reception with just a handful of free music and video uploads, radio appearances and live shows in New York City, Toronto, Montreal and Halifax. Loopsy Dazys live shows consist of dynamic arrangements of guitar, violin, drums, synths, drums machines & various live looping techniques and effects with an occasional guest vocalist or other instrumentalist.

Tonye Aganaba is a dynamic and sultry singer-songwriter born in the United Kingdom, and raised later in Canada. Now based in beautiful Vancouver B.C, she has lent her voice to an ever increasing collection of music spanning all genres: Most recently, she gained notoriety within the electronic world following her #1 Dubstep track [Beatport] – ” So Good” with Vancouver super producer ‘Hirshee.’

Andrew Simpson Remix – Known best for his progressive house tracks and top-40 mashups, Andrew attempted to push his own creativity further with his remix of Under The Stars. It retains the atmospheric, laid-back vibe of the original, but also fuses together elements of electro-pop, dubstep, and progressive house. Elonious Remix - Elonious’ remix delivers a huge sound with a dubstep meets breaks track that will definitely tear dance floors apart! Nagwoode Remix - Galen Conroy aka “Nagwoode” delivers his soulful interpretation of Under The Stars. Nagwoode embellishes the smooth vocals of Tonye Aganaba with beautiful harmonies from his tenor saxophone, offering up some sonic bliss. Elburz&Bach Remix- Choosing only the hardest and most stylish elements of underground dance music Elburz&Bach’s take on Under the Stars creates an huge, big room blend of the grimey sounds of electro-woble integrated seamlessly with the funky, 3am techno they are known for. Push303 Remix - With rolling basslines under punchy beats and a spacious breakdown, Push303′s remix of Under The Stars delivers a huge Tech-House tune for serious late night dance floors.

Featured on the compilation and mix is BODY HEAT by SERIA, first released in 2008, this floor-burner features vocals that are steamy and hot while keeping your ass shakin’ on the dance-floor! Up next is BREATH Of LIFE (Dope Mix) by FUNKY GROOVER, also released in 2008, this track from Italy features an amazing song written by the incomparable Inaya Day. Need we say more? The third track is CHECK IT OUT by Czech born DJ/Producer MARCELLO TOTTI. Always a staple in the top DJs repertoire, this track send your mind to the heavens while keeping a groove in your soul. Up next, is the sensual sounds of DJ SPIN with DEEP COLORS. This track will take you on a journey to depths of deep, sensual, feelings… The 5th track is ENDLESS GROOVE by K-DUB, a Tech-House track diving into the more electronic side of the label.
